"I’ve been here so many times, I’ve lost count 😂 To start off, they’re known for their pastries and coffee. Both categories are excellently done and their presentation is amazing. My personal favourite and go-to would be their lotus biscoff croissant. It’s unbelievably delicious - a perfect balance between sweet, rich and creamy filling with the buttery croissant. Drinks-wise, I really like their lotus buttercream latte and their coconut latte. Nothing beats the presentation of their drinks. Although their prices have increased tremendously over the past few years, they’ve kept standards high and their service has gotten even better. Nimmies’ customers reflect the high prices on the menu. Most of their customer base is from Singapore, given a lotus croissant costs S$8 and their coffee is around S$6-9 after tax as well. Next, on to their “real” food. I’m not really impressed by it. Truffled scrambled eggs with sourdough was a 6.5/10 (eggs were dry and bread was overly oily), salted egg softshell crab pasta was also a 6.5/10 (lacked the rich salted egg flavour and it tasted like it was from a packet), and the nasi ayam was a 6/10 (chicken was really dry, chilli was the star of the show). The one good thing I would buy again was their salmon bites. For the same price was the lotus biscoff croissant, the portion was good and the salmon was fresh, deep fried on the spot and tasted great. Overall, I’d give Nimmies a 4.3/5 for having the best pastries in JB, but they’re lacking good “real” food and their prices are on the pricey side."
"Had lunch at Mimmies Pastry Cafe located along Jln Beringin, Taman Melodies, during our visit to JB, recently. 🥐 We had some nice pastries, pasta, shakshuka and finishing with great coffee and refreshing drink. The Shakshuka with the warm sourdough bread was surprisingly great. Wild mushroom soup was very flavourful. Pork cutlet with the running egg omelette was great too. Nice café with pleasant ambience serving delicious pastries and pasta. Great vibe."
"Lovely place with a nice ambience! The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the staff were really friendly and attentive. The menu also has a great variety of interesting dishes, and everything we ordered was enjoyable. Overall, a really nice place to chill and have a good meal. Definitely worth visiting! 😊✨"
"One of the best café experiences in JB! The drinks was smooth and well-balanced, the atmosphere was cozy, and the staff were very friendly and attentive. The highlight for me was definitely the croissant — easily one of the best croissants in JB. Crispy on the outside, buttery and flaky inside, and served fresh. Perfect spot for brunch or a relaxing coffee break. Will definitely come back again!"
"we went ard 12pm+ n only waited like less then 5mins...we ordered 2 main 2 drinks 1 soup. we ask for extra spicy for our ckt. but is too spicy so normal spicy will b just nice. soup mushroom was thick n can taste the texture. pasta carbonara I felt was too milky n watery for me & lack of herbs fragrance, the chicken was nice w seasoned. overall the food r nice . will visit them again n try others food."
